War Memorial Park, as seen from
our room balcony. This is a memorial to those who died during the Japanese
occupation of World War II. The locals call it four chopsticks. It's 70m (over
200 ft) tall.
Underneath it is a subterranean shopping mall called City Link Mall.
City Link connects the subway station beneath our hotel to the Suntec City
Mall and Convention Center (The big white-roofed building at the far left
foreground of the panorama).
